With a proven track record scoring original music for dozens of successful TV ad campaigns, Hidden Sound's specialism is in skilfully crafting a sympathetic, synchronised audio dimension around the moving image.
It was somewhere around 1990 at Sterns Underground that Nick Smith truly fell in love with electronic music. Nick's first professional solo release was in 1997 under the moniker Menis on Koyote Records, followed by tracks on Youth's label Dragonfly in 1998 and the 1999 album Letting Go on Atomic Records.
Nick began composing music and sound design for adverts in 2000, working with dozens of brands via agencies including Mother, Weiden and Kennedy, Grey, BBH and Fallon.
By 2006, Nick had co-produced and remixed tracks for Orbital and teamed up with Phil Hartnoll to form Long Range, playing Glastonbury, the Big Chill, the Glade and Bloom amongst others. Nick also worked with Chuck Palinick and Irving Welsh on Stories in Motion at that year's Brighton Festival.
Nick is currently working on several creative musical collabarations with upcoming artists and is always happy to listen to any demos which you think he might like to work on.
